As a scientist, Amelia travels to distant planets in search of rare materials. As she lands on the last planet on her list, she came across an unusual life-form in a cave. As she tries to extract samples from the unusual life form, she was accidentally stung by its thorns. Despite this, she brought the sample back to her space lander. During the journey back to the Earth, the virus starts to infect her body and she transformed into an unusual creature which threatens the existence of her fellow human species.

By making this vfx sequence, we hope to apply what we have learned in this course about Visual Effects and Special Effects Makeup. We felt that we will get some experience from a project that is most relevant to the currently popular genre in the movie industry, Sci-Fi.

Biography
Aneirin was introduced to music when he started taking classical piano around the age of 5.
As he was gorwing up, he slowly brunched out to other genre of music and found a love for
singing as well. After joining DMAT he started composing and arranging his own music and
found love for audio engineering. With the love for experimentations when it comes to
music he wrote and produced 2 songs, “Goodbye” and “Feelings4U”.

“Goodbye” is a song about a broken relationship and how the two individuals still love and
care for each other. It is based on true events that has happened to his friends. This song
was written and arranged with Mando-Pop elements.

“Feelings4U” is a Funk-Pop song. Written to be something fun, catchy and cheesy. It speaks
of loving someone that is the complete opposite of oneself. It has a mixture of the old
school and new school style of funk.

Biography
artiste in learning – striving to express art from his perspective primarily as a singer-songwriter.

Brandon Ling (凌梓浩), is a vocalist who puts soul and passion above everything else, where his lyrics and compositions are always expected to be genuine & real. through personal experience, or inspiration adapted from details in every part of life (and the world), he fights with his art to voice his opinion and belief on all things.

growing up with a huge mandarin music influence, he has since grown to express himself in both english and chinese music.

TENDER溫柔: a track on the struggle of balancing between the white and black of a romantic connection. we tend to place our love status on higher priority over our personal well being, which can be a blessing in disguise, but question yourself again because you might just be firmly standing on a platform that is no longer there 很多時候,因為在愛情裡面 掌握著最重要的, 變得自己其實已經混亂了什麼叫做自己的快樂 什麼叫做委屈的悲傷;

CRIMINAL: respect comes above everything else in my world. and to be genuine, is a form of respect not only to the people around you, but to yourself. we often arise in war in spirit of what we believe in, but the moment we lie in contrast to what we stand up so strongly for, we become a criminal without an offence against the law.
it’s an offence to your own world, your own words;

Description
FRANK Account is a savings account targeted at the youth segment base of 16-29 years old. FRANK Account has a special function where customers can customize their savings goals (e.g. travel, education goals, business startup) and pre-set automatic transfer of money every desired time period into ‘savings jars’. With this unique feature, saving with FRANK becomes more convenient and we help customers achieve their goals effectively and efficiently.

Since 2011, FRANK has always been known to be the cool and funky brand that allows customers to customize their card designs. Till date, FRANK remains very well-known for its 120 card designs and only recognized as a regular account. The savings goals feature is our best kept secret and we need this unique feature to be more widely communicated.

This campaign targets millennials aged 16-29, who have started to gain financial independence. They know it’s important to save but what most of them are currently doing now is to use two different bank accounts – one for savings and one for spending. What they are not aware of is the FRANK Account can help them do both, all in one account. And they can even set and customise more than one savings goals at a time.

We want them to tap on the savings goals feature and eventually use FRANK as their primary bank account.

Description
Life Point is a pioneer project set up by the Society of Sheng Hong Welfare Services that wishes to raise public awareness on the benefits of early planning for end-of-life matters. We wish to reduce the taboo on death and move people to view death as a normal part of life. We believe that life is precious and we should live it to the fullest. We want to prompt people to reflect on meaning of life. Many lessons can be drawn from such reflection.

In general, many people possess inaccurate or misleading information about death-related issues that might give rise to various insecurities. Also, many individuals do not have sufficient opportunity to examine their feelings about death in such a way that would permit them to come to terms with any discomfort or concerns they might have.

Simply put, death and dying are uncomfortable topics. Through this campaign, we wish to reduce the taboo on death and move people to view death as a normal part of life. By raising awareness of the issue, we would like to increase awareness on the importance of end-of-life preparation. We want to get people to reduce their anxiety with talking about the issues related to death and dying and equip them with ways to start the conversation if they wish to overcome the barrier on how to talk about death.

Biography
I sing and play synth in a local dream-pop band called Subsonic Eye. We’ve played at festivals/concerts like Baybeats, Ignite, various Esplanade events, Urban Ventures and Fred Perry: Subculture Live. We have also opened for various international bands such as Yuck (UK), fin. (JAP), Thud (HK) and Lust (MY). We released our album, Strawberry Feels, in April 2017, and so far has garnered support from 60k fans from 57 countries (according to Spotify statistics). Having embarked to Hong Kong for a show, the band is looking into touring venues in Southeast Asia around March 2018 to promote the writing of our next album.

I also maintain a bedroom pop side-project called Elephant Stampede. Most of my personal works are uploaded into my soundcloud but I do have 2 informal EPs up on bandcamp. I plan to dabble and explore more with Elephant Stampede in 2018 – and possibly collaborate with more musicians. In 2017, I had also sang the hook in a local rapper’s song (https://soundcloud.com/user-864300729/sets/rise-of-caesar).

For my POD assessment, I wrote 2 songs called No Brainer (lo-fi, indie, garage) and Version 2 (experimental neo soul). Version 2 is a song about the exploration of my self. The whole song concept revolves around the Wizard of Oz fantasy – the characters like the lion, the tin man, the witch are all represented in the song as flaws in my character. I move throughout the song plot talking about my issues and eventually arrive at the end – where I realise my flaws and start progressing towards a better ‘me’. No Brainer is about burnt out from writing and the song sonically describes the ups and downs of such burnouts – one often comes out from it feeling terribly numb and overwhelmed at the same time.

Drifting aimlessly through space, trying to recall where he belonged and who the girl in that locket he held onto so dearly was, Anton hums the same tune over and over again, hoping to stir some memories locked deep within.

Anton sits by the cockpit and tries to recall who he was but fails once again. He finds a dusty old satellite drifting through space. Upon reaching the satellite, he realises that the logo on the satellite was the same as the one on his space suit. Sweeping away more of the dust on the satellite, he uncovers some hidden coordinates. Thinking it might be a clue to where he’s from, Anton keys them into the ship’s systems, revealing that the coordinates lead to a place called ‘Earth’. Anton activates the ship’s thrusters and heads towards ‘Earth’. Could this be the key to unlocking his past?
